The Only NY Pizza In SF
Arinell is the only NY style pizza gem in all of SF. I hear there's one in Berkeley as well, but I haven't tried it yet. The place is a hole in the wall, literally, and you can easily walk by it without even noticing it's there. It's the closest thing you'll get to NY pizza. Who knows why, but they make rectangular pies. Maybe they're trying to be different. Maybe they have have rectangular trays. Regardless, they are the best lopsided and obtuse shaped slices of NY pizza you will find in SF, hands down. $2.75 a slice, not very cheap, but it gets the job done.

Only Thing Close in SF so far
Just moved from NY about a year ago. Searching far and wide, Arinel's is the only thing close to NY pizza. It shouldn't be $20 for a pie, but I guess beggers can't be chosers. It's more like Jersey Shore pizza, but close enough to satisfy the craving. If anyone knows of another place that can come close to a NY pie, please post it. Everything else so far is some other version of pizza, but not NY style pizza.
