Great for take-out
We usually eat sushi take-out once a week and this is one of our favorite sushi places to order from. Consistently good sushi, nice staff.

Surprisingly good food, great value!
Surprisingly good sushi, even by San Francisco standards. And for the price, ASA is an awesome deal. We usually eat sushi in San Francisco at least once a week and ASA is high on our list of repeat visits. The service is friendly, but maybe a bit low-key. The atmosphere is nice, but not exactly high-end romantic. (Some white table cloths and candles would make a world of difference.) But the location in the Marina district makes up for it. It's well worth a visit.

Decent for the staples
Good for basic sushi, but the specialty rolls leave something to be desired. Not the most artistic or flavorful or creative, but the fish was clearly fresh and of good quality. May return, but might also look for something a bit more interesting in the same price point.
