I love it here. I've been many times and am never disappointed.

I had dinner here, by myself, later in the evening around 9 p.m. Granted, the bar area is really small, but it was what I was looking for at that point in the evening. The seafood stew is fabulous! A combination of clams, whitefish, mussels, shrimp, squid, potatoes and smoked bacon. All of the shellfish is out of the shell - even better. I also had the arctic char served with horseradish and dill - excellent. Throw in a couple of Belgian beers and it was a great night. All entrees are small, but not pricey - $10-$13. A good date place with decent atmosphere.

The place itself is too small for any type of comfort. I arrived later in the evening when Bar Crudo wasn't very full at all, maybe 9 people total including staff. They sat me at the very small bar that is almost too small for a plate and near the door. Actually every seat is near the door. The staff informed me that they were out of Clams so they would try to accomodate. I ordered the small seafood sampler platter(6 oysters, 3 shrimp, 3 mussels, 3 clams, ¼ crab) in addition to a whole lobster. When the food arrived the platter consisted of (12 oysters, 1/4 crab) and then an almost frozen lobster. I asked my server what the platter consisted of, since they were out of clams. She told me they were actually out of shrimp, mussels, and clams, so they just brought us oysters. They didn't inform me that they were out of mussels or shrimp before hand so it was a bit of a surprise to see 12 oysters So it was a waste for us to order the platter. I shrugged it off because we still had the lobster and 1/4 of crab. My girlfriend, didn't care for the fact that the lobster was so cold so we asked if it were possible to have the lobster warmed up a bit.
