Nice place to visit once in a while

Great atmosphere, service, and location. However, we were not so impressed with the food. We ordered starters as well as main entrees. Both my friend and I felt the food was too salty and the taste satisfactory. Nonetheless, it's worth a try. The place is really cute.

A wonderful little place with great food

Tablespoon is an all around winner. Great location, atmosphere, service and food. I was especially impressed with the "Duo Fois" starter and the "Diver Scallops" main. Worth a visit next time you are on Polk.

Terrific addition to the SF dining scene

What a superb meal we had at this SF newcomer. Short ribs to die for, clams with chorizo and a great wine list. Don't miss dining at this lovely restaurant.

    What a pleasant surprise!

Walking by this restaurant, I was intrigued by its appearance. There is a warm glow with a trendy decor and a busy bar. I looked at the menu and was happy to find that it's not like every other menu in the city. It's very creative and the prices are great. I was greeted by a good-looking guy I believe to be one of the partners. The other partner, I was told, is the chef. I found out that their combined backgrounds are from high-end restaurants such as Daniel (NYC), El Bulli (Spain), Erna's Elderberry House (Yosemite), Gary Danko (San Francisco), Jardiniere (San Francisco), and Fifth Floor (San Francisco). I couldn't believe that with their experience they decided to do a bistro-like place. By far, it is the best one in the city. I can't say enough about it. Get in before it gets out.
