Fantastic atmosphere, poor food/service
For the atmosphere: the best place in the city to have a dinner party. However, the service was snooty and slow. I am allergic to seafood and called a week ahead to allow them to prepare. Also, when I arrived, I notified the host of this issue. The soup had scallops in it (which they not only served it to me, but when I again notified them, provided me with no alternative) and the main course was steak and lobster. Again, the lobster was placed on my plate, and after taking 15 minutes for them to come around, they merely took the plate in the back, threw away the lobster and brought back the cold steak (which was covered in the juices from the lobster. After one bite (and nearly suffocating from my allergy) I had them take the plate away. From my friends that went with me, the food was good (but not excellent) and they agreed the service was sub-par. For a meal that ran $174 per person including tax and tip, this experience was not worth it.

What a gem!
A lovely, exceptional restaurant with an amazing take out menu. Plan a dinner party, buy the meal prepared and then hide the packages. The lunches/breakfasts are well planned and ever changing. The crab salad was amazing. The waitress was very knowledable on the origin of the crab and (surprising) the lettuce in the salad! What a treat.
