When the place down the street that my friend and I wanted to try was closed, we wandered back down to this spot and were immediately welcomed in by the bright open space and friendly staff. We opted to sit at the bar as the tables are a bit oddly placed through the middle of the room and that turned out to be the right decision. We got a nice view of the room and outside windows. The barrista was our server, pretty attentive when she wasn't doing *everything else* and she was kind enough to get my eggs as a side instead of the full plate offering so they would be cheaper since I didn't want their side dishes too. The cinnamon buns were awesome (we had two) and another waitress gave us bus directions. All in all, on our next trip to SF, I think we'll probably do this again.

Living in the neighborhood, I have eaten here several times. Tonight, however, I had the roast chicken and it was unbelievable. When my boyfriend tried to get a bite I stabbed him with a fork. Highly recommended (the chicken, not the stabbing).

My friends and I enjoy going to Cafe Divine. The price is reminiscent of 90s pre-internet-boom days, the service is personable, and the food is good Italian basic well-prepared food. Desserts are divine and MUST be indulged in. We live in the neighborhood, and we're picky about where we eat. Re: ambience, the cafe is nicely situated, clean, and has a good mix of people from both in and out of the No. Beach area, including some tourists. Cafe Divine has scheduled concerts, too-- lovely. All in all, excellent value and worth checking out.
