Rude service
Food was good, and during the meal, the service was fine. However, when they made a mistake on the bill, they acted rudely and added a new item to the bill to pay for their mistake! I will never eat here again and would discourage others from eating here.

Healthy comfort food
I come here at least once a week. Love the fish and collard greens. The Hakim Stout is one of my all time favorite dark beers. Service is laid back but friendly.

Only Poor Eating Experience Ive Had in SF
Service was slow and slim to none. Mixed my friend's meat dish with my vegetarian after I asked not to, then had the audacity to get rude...at me! Had trouble understanding English. Tried to charge me for their mistake. I'm pretty laid back, and I love Ethiopian but will never return here. Only poor eating experience in SF ever.

Delicious
Took a group of friends here and it was excellent. I got the veggie combo which is a steal for only $9. The lentils were good, the collard greens were great and the potato, cabbage and carrot combo was very good. Nice relaxed atmosphere and helpful service. Fun for a big group as you can get your food all on one plate or separately if that is your thing.

Something different and nice
Pretty nice, lots of veggie options (although everyone's meal is served on one big piece of bread, so there may be 'contamination' issues with veggie/non-veggie diners, if that bothers you). I'm sure you could just get it on the side instead. The food is tasty and plentiful, with no silverware to be seen. It works better than you might think as the bread used to scoop the food up is stretchy and thin. service was friendly. Overall, a pleasant tasty meal at a reasonable price. Recommended. nice Ethiopian beer too.
