    Wow!

Velvety smooth vegan food, the likes of which you can get nowhere else on this continent. This place is almost good enough to make me sell my Manhattan apartment and move to the Mission.

    A nice surprise

My husband is a huge meat eater, but he agreed to go to Cafe Gratitude as we had a guest who loved raw foods. We were all pleasantly surprised by the wonderful fresh taste of the food. We all tried different items and every one was as good as the previous one. What a delight to the palate!!

    5 Golden Glittery Stars!

Cafe Gratitude is the only place I will eat out in the city. As someone in recovery for eating disorders, it's very hard to find places in the city where I feel okay with the menu and ingredients used. Cafe Gratitude won my heart though. Everything about this place is beautiful and splendid, from the unique raw dishes to the board-game tables to their optomistic employees. I have many non-raw-foodist friends that feel the same way. Ps. You must go there on your birthday! ; )

    I Love The 'Tude!!!!

OK naysayers. I don't get it. As a super picky NYC transplant, used to the best food in the world, I simply adore this place. The food is fantastic - it was above and beyond what I expected (visit on a Tuesday for the Pad Thai!!). The deserts are insanely good. The sampler plate is great for first timers, as are the warm grain bowls (the only cooked items), and the caesar salad and enchilada of the day always rock. The I am Cool milkshake is a dream come true! I agree, the place is a little pricey, but I still eat there a few times a week and when I don't order too much, I find it's reasonable. The atmosphere and the people there are WONDERFUL, how can you say that anyone there is pretentious?? They're the sweetest folks in the Bay Area by far. I love the shtick of the place too, I think it's kinda fun ordering by the hookey names, sitting with strangers (I always end up sharing), and reading the little cards and whatnot. *shrug* The place is a hoot, the staff is charming, and the food is stellar.

    So so

The food was ok, but I thought it was a little overpriced. The people I was with enjoyed it more than I did. So all in all, a mixed review.

    Are you kidding me?

This place is not recommended. pretentious people who serve subpar food. and i'm vegan so don't try and pin me down as some meat loving carnivore. They make you order in ridiculous terms and all you want is a damn vegetable. If you know whats good for you and your wallet, stay far away. Prices are simply too much!
