Fresh East Coast Style Seafood
I cannot say enough about this restaurant. The seafood was more than we might have hoped, prepared simply but with imaginative touches that enhanced, rather than buried the flavors. From appetizer to dessert, every dish rang in perfect pitch. I highly recommend a selection of raw oysters. Their varied geographic origins create a fine spectrum of tastes and textures. Their freshness is unquestionable. The tuna and the crab cakes were both tasty and perfectly cooked. I can't recall the accompaniments, but I do remember they were delicious and complemented their dishes. Whatever you order, save room for their house special dessert, a lemon meringue tart. Even if you think you're not a fan, at least share one. It was sweet, tart, light and creamy with a crust that would have serve as a dessert itself. If any criticism would be leveled, and it is minimal, at best, it would be with the bar. Drinks were fine, but not as interesting as the food, and it took two orders to get the drinks we actually ordered. Still, they were friendly and happy to fix the error, and that's enough for us.
