The food is OK but not great. However, I feel compelled to write this review about the service. I was visiting SF and was supposed to meet up with an old friend at Irving St. Cafe. I accidentally walked into this place and asked the waitress whether this was the Irving st cafe. I asked her twice and she assured me it was, and that we should have a seat and order. Needless to say, we didn't get to meet up with my friend, because he was waiting for us at the real Irving st cafe. That was strike one. We ordered a hot tea with lunch, and later she brought more hot water without asking, which we initially thought was nice of her. But then when we got the bill we saw that she charged us for two hot teas. $4 for hot water! Anyway, if the food was great I wouldn't put such a low recommendation, but the mediocre food plus the lying waitress that did anything just to get customers compelled me to write a negative review. If you eat here, check your bill carefully!

on a sunday morning we went in around 9:30, just beat the crowd in. we ordered the eggs florentine and a greek omelette with feta and vegetables. both dishes came with delicious simple potatoes seasoned with rosemary., they were delicious. Both the egg dishes were delightful. breakfast was hot, good, and under 20.00. the service was very nice was well.
