Who knew spinach could be THIS good!
While visiting San Francisco and its 'hippie neighborhood" ,I went to the Cha Cha Cha with my husband on advice of a store employee whom we asked where she always went for lunch (locals should know best) She told me to try their warm Spinach salad. I did and oh boy was it ever good!! My husband had the pulled pork sandwich and fries which he really liked (the fries were a wee bit too spicy for his taste though but I loved them and with a nice wine to take care of the burn it was great. The atmosphere was great. You felt like being in another country. Staff was good, everything very casual and pretty fast service. I'd definetely recommend this to anyone that wants something flavourfull and different in a great environment. And ....try their warm spinach salad!!

Fun, fun, fun!
Hotel concierge suggested the Haight Ashbury location to me on my first trip to San Francisco. YUM!! Great sangria, very interesting and usually delicious tapas selection. Entrees went either way, some were great some were so-so. But overall, food and drink are excellent, with some very different spices and sensations for your palate. I have NEVER seen this place not crowded, even on a weeknight, and they do not take reservations, so expect to wait. Service one night I went was awesome and friendly. When I went with friends a year later, the servers, bartenders, and maitre'd were a little less friendly, more rushed and so busy that they were unable to answer questions. Overall, I will say that this is still one of my favorite restaurants in SF, though I may show up for an EARLY dinner next time! It is a very fun, festive atmosphere with eclectic hangings all over the walls and ceiling and everywhere else. Everyone around seems like natives, not tourists and a very eclectic, diverse crowd. Definitely have the sangria and one of the chicken wing tapas!! Oh, and the plantains or veggies are good too! Buy sangria by the pitcher to save money, believe me, you will want more than a glass!
