    Good food, great prices

Try the chicken tikka masala (best in the city) with naan and/or rice. Also, I've heard the biryani is off the hook.

    Poor food, nice people...

The service was good, although minimal since at this restaurant you order the food at a counter and it is then delivered to you, then you pay at the counter. It was a clean place, however, the charcoal that they cook with is overwhelming and the person I was with was really bothered by it. The food...was poor. I eat Indian food A LOT and this was subpar. I ordered chicken curry, and the chicken was full of bones--I literally had four bites of actual meat--and there were even tiny bones in the curry itself. I'm not a picky eater, but it was not good. The person I went with is a vegetarian, and his food was "okay" so maybe it is just the meat dishes there. We also ordered garlic naan and both pieces were burned on the bottom. The food was cheap, which is really nice. The people there are really nice. It's just, the food isn't good. I won't go there again.

    Best Indian food ever

Chutney is a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant and does not appear to be the kind of place where you can get the BEST INDIAN food in town. But it is definitely the best, no joke! The good part is that they have the greatest naan (in several flavors), chicken tikka masala, bengan bharta, chicken biryani, mango lassi (ask for ice with it), etc. This is the first place I take my friends & family when they're visiting. What's great is that they are fast and they are open late. Many times Chutney will get so packed that a long line forms, but it doesn't take very long to order and get a table. Best of all, you get much more than you pay for. Cheap, delicious, and the best in Marin and San Francisco!
