food is good to great, especially bakery but find service to be slow and pretty rude. staff acts as if they are doing a favor by waiting on you. bought bakery items and was turned off by attitude and service, maybe takeout but eating there? forget it.

I went with a Russian friend, who did the ordering for us. Good idea, because our waitress did not speak much English. (This boded well for the food, I believe.) My gaulbtsy was AMAZING - hot stuffed cabbage leaves, a little sour cream on the side. He had the chicken kiev, which was equally delicious. Meat is even better when accented with extra fat. We also had some pastries to go, like a little poppy-seed scone-like thing. VERY yum.

The food is very tasty. I would highly recommend any of the pelemeni, blini or piroshkis. The appetizer salads were also very good. The service is average, but I did not go there with high expectations for service. It is a place to go for the food, and you won't regret it. I also enjoyed the bread that comes with any meal, and you can pick some up at the counter at any time along with some lovely desserts. I would say it is the best Russian food place in San Francisco and is very inexpensive.

Very good place, only very hard for parking.

I love their pit-ish-kee. It is just like my Russian grandmother used to make, and every time I am in San Fran, I make a huge effort to get to Cinderella's. Their cookies and pastries are also wonderful.

The food is generally good. I like the mushroom pie very much. I like the relaxed atmosphere. The service is slow, but I kind of expected that as most of the Russian have a relatively slower service. I recommend this restaurant. If you don't like too sweet stuff, I suggest you not to order the dessert that made with Chocolate Rum.
