    Poor Management

We had a reservation for 8 people at 9-30 pm on a Saturday night and we reached there promptly at 9-15pm. We got our table EVENTUALLY at 10-40pm when everyone else had finally left. They have no notion of what a reservation means. The seating hostess had nothing to say except that people were refusing to leave after dinner. And the waitress was in so much of a hurry that she kept forgetting our orders and sometimes had to be reminded thrice to get a drink. She was also very impatient. The manager of the hotel did nothing to make our dinner better. For this of kind of uptight behavior, I'd rather eat any other Indian restuarant in San Francisco.

Glad I tried it, won't go again.

Food was tasty but short on volume and given the choice on offer in the area I dont think it stands out especially in light of the price premium (60 bucks for two entrees and four beers(not all for me, though!)). I left feeling rather hungry. Service was prompt and friendly. The place is quite noisy as there are a lot of tables and a (relatively) large bar. As I mentioned in the title, I'm glad I tried it but I think if you're after something similar you'd do well to go to places further down Valencia instead.

    I wouldn't try again

The food is a bit oily and salty. When we needed help, the waitress was not there..but she was around when we were about to pay. Overall, average.

    An Amazing Experience

Dosa has all the trappings of an amazing restaurant. I got there at 7:30 pm with a friend of mine and only had to wait for about 20 minutes, which was well spent considering they had a great selection of wines. The food was delicious especially the Chatni Masala Dosa, the potato croquets and the Tamil Lamb Curry. The Reisling Kabinett was one of the best white wine pairings I've tasted. It was a perfect combination with the spicy food. I finished the meal with a taste of the Chocalate Gelato and the Rasmalai. I've already been there 3 times and I'm definitely going to be a regular. Highly recommended.

    Not recommended

The kitchen staff has done a great job but this the not worth the wait and poor service you have to endure. There are too many restaurants in the city to put up with the ordeal ... not recommended!
