You can't beat this place for a quick, inexpensive and satisfying meal. They use quality, fresh ingredients and serve generous portions. It helps if you speak some Spanish when ordering although they are EXTREMELY polite and go out of their way to please customers. Try it - you WILL go back.

Just got back from this place, the atmosphere is a little seating situated like a bar so your facing outside The food is probably the most authentic I've had... so far they were moderately busy on a monday at 5:00, took a while before getting our burritos Carnitas is what I always get, but Ocean Taqueria has better Carnitas, but my friend said the Carne Asada was better here than Ocean Taq

Honest food: good burritos, fast service, nice folks, good prices. Tamales are OK, not that great but not bad either -- dinner plate comes with too much sauce, though. Having said that, I think it's an excellent option for lunch or take out dinner -- we eat there practically once a week. I recommend it highly.

The food is simple -- but different than many other burrito places -- you can order surf and turf -- or some wonderful vegetarian burritos (excellent) filled with peppers and other yummy vegetable not normally found at a taqueria. If you want to go authentic, they can compete with any taqueria out there. Tacos, enchiladas, burritos, quesadillas, and nachos. I've had them all and it's definitely worth a return trip to try something different. I don't live in the neighborhood, but I am always happy when something lures me to the neighborhood so that I can make a stop on my way for some great takeout food. If you've never been there, be prepared for a line which oftentimes goes out the door -- but the line moves fairly quickly and the wait is never too long. If you know what you want you can call in your order and it will be waiting for you when you arrive.

This is authentic mexican food you can find that is not in the mission. The burritos are big and YUMMY! My boyfriend worships the carnitas, I like the chicken, and my father likes the tostados, But whatever you chose to order, it is a great value that fills your stomach- I mean its take out, so the atmosphere isn't too great, but the restaurant is called el burrito EXPRESS ( implying quick and to go)- YUMMY EATS!
