I'm so disappointed. They use to have good food , but now it's full of oil and not testy at all. And the service was the same. I felt like they doing me a favore serving me. I'm going going back there that's for sure!!!

Eliza's is my favorite Chinese restaurant in San Francisco. The food is so fresh and delicious that one day at lunch I almost wept with delight. Truly, it is some of the best food I've ever had and the value you get for what you pay is extraordinary. The service is definitely quirky, but has improved over the years. If you are a regular customer, you are more likely to get a smile, but I wouldn't bet on it. This is not a place to go if you need to bond with your waiter. They are extremely busy most of the time and getting you your food in a timely manner takes priority over chitchat. The space, oddly shaped, is a designer's challenge. They've adapted it well and enhance the somewhat industrial look with colorful glass art, exotic plants and Asian religious sculptures . We often order food to go as well. Eliza's is an idiosyncratic and creative place. Just put aside standard expectations and enjoy!

Family owned and run. Never rude, but always quirky. (This is SF not NYC. Get over it, NYC.) My favorites are the luscious pot stickers, the wonderful eggplant, and most everything else I have tried. Not as warm and inviting to me as the old Potrero Hill location, but still worth the trek and the parking.

This is definitely a great place for Mandarin food. I love so many of their dishes; Princess Prawns, Eliza's Chowmein, Curry, Potstickers... If you don't like their service and or think they are unfriendly, order TO GO.

Food is delivered fast and is fantastic. Usually a wait on most nights and parking is tough but worth the effort.

I have lived on in off in the Bay Area for 30 years. And we live within a few blocks of the restaurant. They are great. You have to know what you enjoy, so not every dish is to everyone's taste. We have our favorites (pot stickers, won ton soup and mu shu chicken). Also, you need to be careful to be there well before 830pm as they are fairly punctual about shutting down the kitchen - so that their staff can get home to their families. Nice place and a very good value. :-)

The person who talked about people that are worng about service because they are not from a "diverse" city like SF is crazy. I have lived in NYC for years before SF. That is diverse. The staff at this restaurant is rude. They are unwilling to stay open 1 minute late. They serve the food without regard to when you are done with other courses. Their seating is terrible and cramped. And the food is very salty. I have gone there for over 3 years and they have always been rude and I go 10% as much as i would otherwise because of it.
