portions on some items a joke

we had dinner here the other night, and i wanted to comment on one of the items i had ordered.... the crab cakes. i ordered those and a salad for my dinner. you can imagine my surprise when the crabcakes arrived, hardly larger than a quarter, and only two on the plate! the other items we ordered seemed decent sized, not generous in any sense of the word. the food was good, service was good, environment was nice. just don't think i would recommend this because of the serving sizes....

    Mediocre at best

I came here for a work dinner the other night...I had heard about this place for years, but had never been. I'm not an overly picky person at ALL, but I was really let down....the food was really blah and I Left feeling really disappointed. I had to add salt to almost everything, which I NEVER do. I guess I always have high expectations when I go out to dinner in SF because there are SO many great restaurants. oh well....

    Best Restaurant in San Francisco

Firefly has exceptionally yummy food and superb service. The best pork chop ever and the most delicious fried chicken!

    Good food, but limited menu

The food here is pretty good, and reasonably priced with the exception of the venison. I've never seen such a small piece of meat! The heirloom tomato salad appetizer was a bit on the small side as well for the price. Food was tasty though, good fish and fried chicken. Pot stickers are worth a try. Attentive service was a plus!
