The best classic french fun restaurant
My family took me out for my birthday and we spent 3 hours laughing and eating the most fabulous food. The waiters were attentive without being distracting and the sommelier provided excellent choices. My favorite fancy restaurant in SF.

Really?
Here on business from NYC- was told this place was good. Hmmm, perhaps I need new recommendations? One of the most dated and forgettable meals I have had. Unfortunately, I could recall the poor service (ten minutes to get a menu or be offered a drink, butter for bread appearing 15 minutes before the bread, etc.) restroom floor covered in water, no soap in dispenser. This on top of decor that looked like a Disney set for Aladdin on ice, as done for 20 bucks. The place smelled of stale fry oil, the base wine in a kir was oxidized, the amuse bouche tasted of liver and pumpkin with the consistency of jello (that doesn't work actually...) and most of the food had the presentation style of a happy meal. I should have guessed something was up by all of the inexplicable "quotation marks" all over the "menu" that made no "sense" at all. I had so much better in SF, so I am at a loss as to how this place keeps going with these standards -- and at stratospheric these prices. You have been warned!

Great French
Although the atmosphere is a bit old-school stuffy, the food was fantastic. Every course was delicious. Very authentic French food.
