Caramelized Chicken & Potstickers
You can try a number of great dishes at this Vietnamese Vegetarian Haven but your meal will be truly memorable if you have the potstickers and Carmelized chicken. The potstickers are flavored in such a way that they remind me of what I remind pork potstickers to tatse like. They are served with a light ponzu/soy sauce and once you start you can't stop. Oh yeah, remember to get them fried! The carmelized chicken is one of the best veggie chicken dishes I have ever had. Don't think, just order it and enjoy. If I am wrong I will pay for your meal! If you get a chance and you are into it, order a glass of their home made soy milk-really great tasting.

Great
this food is great. but the staff might look like they are forbidden to smile. But hey, they make great food! the ginger fish is my favorite dish of all! great soups and fake meat is pretty good too. golden tofu was great, but they took it off the menu :(

Delicious ''fake meat" dishes
I often go to golden era just for the clay pots - delicious vegetarian 'lamb' and 'chicken.' The tofu salad is delicious, as are most of the noodle dishes. If you are a huge fan of chinese/pan-asian food but want all the meaty dishes without the guilt, this is the place for you. Simple decor, friendly staff, and overall a place you feel good about! don't leave without trying the house clay pot.

I love you golden era
Golden era is perfect for all occasions. be sure to try the buddha bun (aka steamed veggie bun). the wonton noodle soup is always a winner in the light meal category. and everything else is generally awesome! some favorites... coconut curry claypot, terreyaki chicken, spicy mongolian beef... enjoy!!!

Not Up to Par
Food was too sweet, not flavorful and not so cheap. I have to say that I was quite disappointed.

Best veggie food in SF!
I'm a vegetarian and check out all the veggie places. This is definitely my favorite in SF. While the neighborhood isn't the prettiest, the staff is friendly and service is fast. The spicy gourmet chicken is awesome. And there's a fake beef dish with tamarind sauce on "shrimp" chips that's delicious. Lots of food, so it's a good value. If you like fake meat, this is the place for you.
