We visited SF this summer and attended this restaurant by mistake. Being big fans of dim sum cuisine we researched the internet a lot in attempt to find THE BEST place in SF. Our goal was to visit Ton Kiang, which is next door to Golden River, but for some reason we didn't pay attention on the name and thought we have got to the right place. And OH, BOY! What a RIGHT place it was! The service was great, the dim sums were just melting in our mouths, leaving amazing taste of fresh and delicious ingredients, the tea was not watery, like in some other places, but strong and aromatic. But what we liked the most is absence of the carts. You order from their photo-menu instead of guessing if this cart of that one will have your favorites, or watching somebody else to take the last portion of your favorite dish, which makes you to wait for ever for another opportunity. We just HATE this way of serving! BTW later we still visited Ton Kiang thinking that might be we missed even better experience. NOPE! We missed nothing but the things we dislike in dim sum places + much higher prices. So if you are looking for great dim sum experience it's hard for us to imagine any better place then Golden River restaurant. Thank you Golden River for such a memorable experience. We wish to have you in Baltimore MD area. It would save us some money for a trip to SF : ).

This restaurant is awesome. They have everything you could ever ask for. Great dim sum and service! They even have dim sum at night. The taste was indescribable. It was fantastic.
