good seafood
My family have been dining at Gourmet Carousel for over 20 years. Seafood is their specialty. The Chinese-American standards are a bit average (sweet and sour whatever and chop suey something). Forget the standards and have the: crab in clay pot, salt and pepper shrimp, clams in black bean sause, whole steamed fish with scallions, beef with chinese broccoli (gai lan) over pan fried noodle. Go and don't be afraid to be adventurous.

Disappointing food
Ordered take out and was very disappointed in food (but on the plus side it was hot and ready to go when we arrived). "Sesame chicken" = deep fried and more like what one might expect from sweet/sour chicken. Other dishes were greasy in a not-so-good way. Rice not included with dishes. Dumplings were decent. Inexpensive, but you get what you pay for.

Great Take Out
I've never eaten there, I always get take out, but the food is delicious! I love the scrambled eggs with chinese sausage. I've tried most of the soups and they are all unique and quite good. It is also the best place in my area to get good food quick at a decent price.

Delicious.
You can never go wrong with food at Gourmet Carousel. I have been ordering take out as well as dining in for over 10 years and I still go back for more. I especially love their ginger crab and their prawns with chinese greens over rice. Atmosphere isn't all that, nor is the service but the food is always consistently delicious!
