The fish and rice soup that I ordered were tasteless. Worse than that, the service person marked up my order and imposed a 15% gratuity when he found out I was a tourist staying in a good hotel.

It was an one-day trip to SF, so we ran through the city trying to catch every nice place and eventually found ourselves in the middle of Chinatown with killing feet and starving. But everything was closed already... Fortunately we ran into this place - Grant Place. It is a small restaurant, nothing special, regular eatery for locals. The interior is so-so, but the food was wonderful! The good sign was that there were some chinese customers. Pretty caring staff, big portions, loose leafs tea. The most memorable food was shrimps with honey walnuts - melting shrimps and crispy nuts. Other seafood was pretty good too - they definitely have a good cook, who knows that it shouldn't be overcooked. They have three full dinner options and they can adjust them for you - so you can change them a little and in the same time save some money. It was a really good last moment in SF - we left this place full, happy and ready to run through the city again.
