Great India Great Food
We order in from a wide variety of restaurants each week and this is by far the best Indian restaurant that we order from. All the food I have ordered is rich in flavors. They are generous in the spices they put in their food--all of which are not hot spices. With that said, their dishes do run a bit spicier (hotter) than usual, which I LOVE. You have to love a lot of spices to appreciate their food.

Not Good
We have ordered dinner delivery from this restaurant 4 times. Once, I had to bring the food back because it was very hot and we had asked for mild spices. So, the next time, I tasted the food before I paid the delivery guy, and I sent it back with him because it was too hot,. Once, we actually got a fairly decent tandoori chicken. Today, we ordered vegetarian somasas, chicken masala, sag paneer, onion kulcha and raita. They forgot the raita. The somasas are tasteless. The chicken masala is dry and mostly sauce. Sag paneer is ok. Onion kulcha ok. But, no raita. They do send some teeny condiments but they are very hot. So, 2 bites of dinner and $40 later, I will never order from this reataurant again. Maybe if you are eating in but with delivery it's a no bet.

Great India Is The Best
This is by far my favorite Indian place in the SF Bay Area. You can tell all the sauces are fresh, and prepared "the way it should be." Prices are very reasonable. If they were in a high-profile location (i.e. the Marina, Russian Hill, etc) they could easily get away with a fancy decor and 3X the price....it's that good. Instead, Great India is a hidden gem to be savored by locals in a casual, family-run atmosphere.
