Gyros that kick butt

Not the best
Just having returned to San Francisco from Berlin and Krakow Poland, where I was introduced to gyro for the first time in my life, Gyro King was recommended. It was not even close to what I had in Europe. The gyro resembled a burrito. I was quite disappointed! Doesn't SF have any good gyros? I mean it's supposed to be an International Food City. I guess you'd think it is if you have never really experienced a true gyro.
