    hot sauce warning

I had the chicken kebab. Pretty good overall. A little overpriced for being about one step above fast food I'd get in nyc for half the price. WARNING. The hot sauce is made of pure fire.

    Good try

Bland food in a nice setting. Not middle eastern in spices. Presentation nice and low cost welcome in pricey Hayes valley.

    It's back

Now re-opened at a new location, with outdoor seating and even (shockingly) ample parking available

Middle Eastern Gem in Hayes Valley

Wow! What a treat! I took a group of 12 One Brick volunteers for lunch here on a Sunday after a volunteer event and we had a blast. The food was very fresh, delicately spiced with generous servings, the menu suited a broad range of taste preferences, dietary styles, and pocketbooks. The service was quite quick even though our group was large and tables needed combining. The wait staff were friendly and helpful - one of our group had a disability that needed special accommodation that was graciously taken care of without asking. There were cushy pillows on the bench lining the wall, great color photos of life in the middle east, and middle eastern music to add to the ambience. We had such a good time that we sat and chatted after the meal without feeling hustled to leave. Definitely worthy of many repeat visits and I was pleased to note that they offer catering services and delivery. My only regret was not sampling the desserts.
