Hong's Szechuan Restaurant

Hongs is Our go-to spot when we don't wish to cook. My favorite is rock cod w/black bean sauce and barbecue pork fried rice. It isn't gourmet food, but quite adequate and satisfying. They don't lift your wallet when you eat there, either.

Ordered delivery tonight, this has been a fairly good place until now. Soup was not eatable. Sesame chicken had bone fragments. Beef dish was stringy and tough. Pot sticker filling was ok but outside of dumpling was like rubbery leather. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Everytime we visit our relatives in San Francisco, wherever we are(downtown, uptown, daly city), we always go all the way to the outer Sunset to get our fave Chinese meal. This is the place if you just want to eat and enjoy your meal with yuor family. I recommend to eat and run, the place is small and have a few tables, but the portions are huge, very good for us who have a big family.

For over ten years Hong's has been a household favorite here. Garlic lovers should be sure to try the garlic chicken: more packed with garlicky goodness than a festival in Gilroy, and -- as with all their dishes -- cost is minimal. Hong's also makes very good curry. The atmosphere in Hong's is more reminiscint of a family room than a dining room. it's a nice, informal, relaxed, and comfortable place to eat -- but probably not the place to take business clients you wish to impress. I've never been impressed by amazing service at Hongs. But I've never been disappointed by the service, either. Overall, the service is very good. I would recommend Hong's to anyone in the Outer Sunset looking for a good chinese meal at a reasonable price.

I have eaten here at least 20 times, I usually get take out. Dining in is very casual atmosphere but I think they would do better playing authentic chinese music rather than the TV. Thats OK, I'll probably go back 20 more times because they treat me right with good size portions and friendly smiling service.

Looking for a new chinese delivery place to try I found this place. I ordered and the lady taking my order said it would be about 30 minutes. I looked at my clock 25 minutes later and figured I'd sit down since it was still going to be a few minutes. As soon as my but hits the couch the bell rings. The food was pretty good. Not the greatest I've ever had but for the price it's hard to beat. It was deliery so I have no idea about the atmosphere there so I rated the atmosphere sitting at home on my couch, Pretty comfortable but a little messy but the big screen can't be beat.
