Grind Your Meat at Home for Free
This place has the most espensive burgers in the City except for maybe the Ritz Carlton's lunch burger with shaved truffle. They charge by the ounce starting with a 6 oz burger and up and up it goes. For two, for lunch, with fries and drinks you're talking over $40 bucks. I'll grind my own in the privacy of my own kitchen, thank you very much!

DDD misleading
Fifty bucks for three basic bugers and an order of fries was a bit steep(understatemet). The atmosphere was okay, but that could not offset the price/quality differential. I went there based on the Food Net show Diners Dive-in and Dives and found it to be over-rated and over-priced!! Very disappointed!!

Joe grinds his own fresh chuck daily...
...that's what it says on the sign, and they ain't lyin'. Don't believe me? Take a look through the glass at the fresh cuts of beef and hand-grinder on the counter. A bit more buck for your burger, but well worth it, and they'll serve 'em as bloody as you'll eat 'em. Keep the 'points' on your receipt -- you'll be back for more and you rack up free food pretty fast. Visit during the holidays for a free gift. If you still have room for dessert, head to Mitchell's for ice cream.
