not worth anything
We've eaten there several times over the years. We thought maybe it was just a bad day so we tried again and again and again. We had consistently bad food. Tough dry meat one time. Grizzly fatty meat another time. WAY over priced. Dry stale tortillas. Tomatoes taste like PineSol. Too many east-bay-bimbos-like-oh-maw-gawd-like-ok-like-ok-ok on their cell phones/ texters who think this is their idea of getting Mission culture. This is not a neighborhood spot. I've never seen the older folks or families in there. Consistently poor quality, rude staff and generally a poor experience.

Best Taqueria in SF
Great, fresh, simple food. Quite simply this place is the standard by which all other taquerias should be measured. The "hard" shell taco is genius: a soft corn tortilla wrapped in another corn tortilla that has been oiled and grilled only briefly. It is not even close to crunchy (like those horrific hard shell tortillas most Americans experienced in their childhood). It's fantastic.

Loved the food
This place was a journey to get too but it was worth the wait. I had the best tacos at this place. The green sauce was great! Definitely wished there was one in NYC like this place.

Mediocre for The Mission
Dry carne asada and overall so-so tacos considering it's in The Mission. I try to avoid it when I can and the counter people are tough to deal with. No salsa bar. There are much better tacos nearby.

Best carne asada imaginable
Because: it's grilled over open flame (no skillet/flattop action her; instead THE smokiest flavor imaginable), and it's chopped by hand, not too fine, right before your very eyes. My favorite is with guacamole, salsa fresca, housemade hot sauce (at the table), and pinto beans. Watermelon agua fresca is the most lovely thing...All the agua frescas -- and everything in the place -- is so incredibly fresh. And such a steal! Order the taco with one "crespa" shell (one crispy, one soft; two shelld in one taco).
