Don't think twice. Just Go.
Very flavorful cuisine. Stumbled upon somewhat distantly located restaurant from downtown. Worth the travel. Rare to find Burmese restaurant. Will definitely return

Mandalay Chicken Five Stars!
This is our favorite SF restaurant and we stop here every chance we get. The Mandalay chicken is a perfect mix of crunchy fried chicken with a spicy sweet sauce that is a winner every time. Other stand outs are the Chicken Coconut soup and the Mandalay Special Noodles. In 20 years, we have never been disappointed with a meal or with the service. Highly recommend.

Excellent Food
Every time I eat here, I over order, I just can't help myself because there are too many great options! Combination fried rice is delicious, hot & sour soup is one of the best that I've ever had, I absolutely love the lemon chicken and the Burmese curry chicken is excellent too! I wish they delivered because it would be my top choice for delivery if they did! It is a little bit pricey, but so worth it for the quality of the food. I highly recommend it, it is excellent!

Just as good as the other Burmese
We are lucky to have 2 Burmese restaurants in our lovely city. Wish we had more. Mandalay has a nice atmosphere, the wait can sometimes be long, but if it is, they are always very apologetic and give you something extra with your meal. The tea leaf salad, fish soup and just about everything else on the menu is fantastic. Just as good as the other Burmese restaurant in the city, but the atmosphere is 100% better - no crowding, hardly any waiting (except on weekend nights), and you don't have to smell your neighbors perfume unless they came with you. Definitely my choice.

Going Downhill
I used to love eating here. I used to love their salads. Rainbow and ginger salads. Last time I went, the service was quite poor. I took food to take home, the shrimp were not so great.

One of the Best
Soups with fresh seafood, saucy lamb curries, their bread is rich and heavy, but worth it. Haven't had a better papaya salad in the city.
