    Magical San Francisco Spot

My mom and I found this restaurant on my first trip to San Francisco, four years ago. We walked in when they were nearing close and they did not hesitate to give us the best of service until we walked out the door an hour later. I could ramble on about the robust flavors, the fresh ingredients, and the fabulous recipes that make this wonderful restaurant all that it is, but I'd prefer to be brief and tell you exactly what you need to know. To eat at Mangia Tutti's is to have the best italian food you could ever find, in this city or any other. This restaurant serves the SF cuisine I miss most when I am at home in Florida!

    Avoid if Hungry

My company bought dinner from here one night. We all ordered pasta dinners. What did we discover upon opening the boxes? I personally ordered ravioli, and there were 4. Not 4 huge ravioli, 4 medium sized ravioli. It was the same story for everyone, and with the salad, and with the entrees. Everyone was still hungry afterwards. This would not have been so irritating if the prices were low, like $7-9, but we are talking about $12-13 for a single plate of pasta! How can they do this? We were all very mad and unhappy, and I can safely say I will never go back here again. The food was also very generic and had clearly been frozen, the pasta was all undercooked and chewy, the lettuce was wilted, the lamb was overcooked, and none of it was ready until 20 minutes after they said it would be. Absolutely not recommended.

    Perfect

Wow -- we stumbled onto this place just around the corner from our hotel. They were planning to close a little early that evening (9:30) but they kept the restaurant open just for us. The food was superb, and the server (owner?) enjoyed singing along with the Italian music that was playing in the background. We both had salads followed by seafood/pasta dishes, and everything was great.

    Amazing

Best spaghetti carbonara I've had outside Rome. The server is so polite and he speaks to you in Italian. The place is reasonably priced ($10-15) considering it's a bit upscale and the food is sooooo good. I love this restaurant.
