I've been here a few times so I obviously love it. The food is simply amazing. You'll love whatever you order, from lamb tongue to salmon. The service is pretty good, it's not amazing but I give it 5 stars because the poor staff is small compared to the amount of tables they have to serve and they still do a pretty good job. It's absolutely packed Friday and Saturday but it's not so crowded you can't hear what your date is saying (I hate when restaurants cram in so many people you can't even hear your guests. My biggest turn off aside from bad food) I only give the value 4 stars because it's pretty expensive, but then again they seem to use a lot of saffron and I've heard that can be quite expensive.

A friend of ours invited ten of us to this restaurant. Right from the get-go we got attitude from the owner who was also serving the tables. He gave one of the ladies a hard time when she asked for her salmon to be well done. In a sarcastic and demeaning tone he said "you mean to tell our chef how to prepare the food?" Anytime anybody requested anything he would roll his eyes. The food was mediocre at best. We have had better Persian food in San Francisco. If it wasn't for the fact we were invited there and we didn't want to be rude to our host, my wife and I would have left the restaurant right at the beginning. We will never go there again and we suggest you look for other Persian restaurants in the city. We also suggest to the owner to come to the terms with himself and the business he has. Nobody cares who he was in Iran before, here he is restaurant owner and should respect his customers.

The food is superb, my favorite dish is Koubideh, and my wife's is grilled prawns. They give you lots of hot bread, cheese and delicious green leafs as complimentary. Sasha the hostess is very friendly and makes the best martini withe Pomegranate and vodka.

The staff service was the worse I have experienced in San Francisco. He was annoyed by my question about the menu and wine list. Although the tenderloin was good but the chicken and the flat bread was dry as a cardboard. It was also extremely over priced. I was very disappointed considering that many consider it as a well known establishment in north beach.

We drove up from the South Bay to have dinner here. The valet parking was welcomed as North Beach is always so crowded and parking is scarce. The food and service were both superb. I had a lamb dish which was recommended by our server and it was very delicious. Dishes are a little pricey but well worth it. Would definitely make the trip up again!
