Not as good as it was but then...
,,,what really is? Mels used to make a huge killer burger but I've switched over to vegetarian fare and can't comment on anything with meat, unfortunately. The food I did have was good the two times I've eaten here and they still make a good milkshake. I know people who come here from out of town and when they stay here in the Marina they always eat at Mel's. It's just too bad the drive-in and the carhops are a thing of the past. Those were the days.

Boo!
Last time I went there were bones in the corn beef hash and when the ketchup bottle exploded on my friend because it was too full, the staff just stared. I've never had anything very good here, except the malt but even that's not really worth the price.
