This place was awesome! Now I know why they voted it the Best Greek Restaurant of 2009. The food was superb, the staff was friendly and attentive and the place was truly Greek! So many imitators out there in SF. Mezes is truly Greek. Right down to the bottled water and fresh fish that they fly in.

I had been looking for a great Greek place in SF and I stumbled upon Mezes. The food was excellent and reminded me of all the great food I had eaten on my vacation there last summer. My wife and I both had the prefixed menu which gave us a perfect amount of tasty food for a reasonable price. The staff was friendly and our waiter was Greek! The setting also reminded me of a true Greek tavern which was also a plus. I saw a flyer that said that they had live Greek music there as well. We are going to go back for that.

We live in the neighborood for 3 years and always passed by Mezes but never walked in until last week. We had such a wonderful time there, i can't believe we lost all these months not coming! The food is so yummy, it's really hard to refrain yourself and the place is really cosy. Somehow, it feels like you already knows this place for ever even though it was a first time. We decided that a once-a-week visit to Mezes is definitely a must.

Disappointed again in my quest for a good Greek restaurant in SF! The food here was average at best, the portions quite small and the prices rather high! Much as though I love Greek food, I won't be back here in a hurry!

I just love this place. The food is to die for and the people working there are so welcoming and warm. Feel like i am in Greece. You must try their Greek wines, they really are amazing! And the menu is great, with a big variety of dishes, so i never get tired of this food. Try it and you tell me. Enjoy !
