    Cozy Atmosphere, Tasty Food

I came here with some friends awhile back. One of my friends was visiting from LA and I had been dying to come here, so it was the perfect opportunity. We had a reservation, but unfortunately there was a large party before us that arrived inconsiderately late. We remained patient though, and waited by the bar, where we were literally wined and dined. Our waiter (who I think might be the owner) was very apologetic and gave us a complimentary appetizer and wine of our choice. He definitely didn't have to do it, but it really made a difference since we were pretty hungry and considering going somewhere else. We were finally seated about 45 minutes after our reservation time, and the service remained excellent. The food came in a timely manner and every member of the staff was polite and professional. The food was tasty, although I only ended up having a salad, so next time I'll be sure to try something a little more substantial. We even had dessert, which was rich with layer upon layer of melted chocolate. So yummy! I will definitely be back again soon!

We don't do sandwiches on Sunday??

I call in my usual Sunday lunch order to find out that their doing "special favors" for me and they only serve Brunch on Sunday...really? If 50% of your menu on Sunday is lunch...does it make sense to serve only breakfast into the lunch hour? In my opinion, for an overpriced and over rated menu, you better stick to the "special favors."

    good breakfast

good slightly-above-diner-quality breakfasts, fairly priced. nice atmosphere, very bright and modern. wish i could have tried it for lunch, the sandwiches they were making behind the counter looked really tasty. definitely cheaper and a better option than the tourist traps down the hill near union square.

    tasty dinner with great value

I always used to eat brunch or lunch at this reliably good neighborhood spot, and now the new owners have added dinner, too. The food is tasty and the portions are very generous for the money. Atmosphere is modern and comfortable, and service is friendly.

    new and improved

I loved the old grill, but it's even better now. A lot of nice touches with the remodel and the quality of food is better.
