Nopa

The best part about this place is that you actually can see the cooks making your food in the back. I had the best pork chops at this place. The service and atmosphere was great as well.

Knowing you are eating the freshest local produce , fish, and finest in organic ingredients available in the area is a great reason to frequent this establishment. The service is first rate. the servers are not only helpful with any questions that you may have, but they will make sure you have an enjoyable evening. They know the menu inside out and the amazing wine list insures that you will have the perfect vino paring. The deserts are so imaginative and you only wish they had a tasting menu so you could sample each. I never visit SanFrancisco without a visit and they never fail to help me to impress my friends.

What Nopa was when it first opened is much different than its current modus. First, it's very loud, but this is standard. The food can be wildly inconsistent between visits, but good when on point. The staff has the habit of being wildly pretentious, too... I've had too many evenings with rude waitstaff, often overshooting on service and sacrificing privacy. The drinks are subject to a heavy atmospheric surcharge and generally, the crowd correlates. It's an okay place but Zuni still does what Nopa is trying to do much better. Respectible wine list, I must say.

And the chicken soup is hearty a bs delicious!

Great food, great space, great neighborhood. quaint, small, lovely.
