Time Machine Steak House & Bar
A great steakhouse from the days of old: leather, liquor and lotsa beef. It's like some Press Club where the reporters go to knock back a few and slice into a really big cut of beef. The pasta is similarly dated, and, subsequently a bit Boyardee-like, and the potatoes were blase. But the steak (I had the big one) was chargrilled to perfection for me - char-ey but pink, tender and bloody. And the drinks are poured fatly, by the by. Inexpensive, parking available adjacent to the restaurant: recommended as it is The Tenderloin. If easily intimidated by squalor, don't walk to the joint.
