We had a limited brunch menu. I really thought the Pancake with Ricotta was extraordinary. The cons: We arrived put our name down and were told it was a 1.5 hour wait so we drove to Safeway to buy my son something to eat should he reject their food. We come back and I 'm told maybe 20 minutes. 1.45 mins later we are finally seated. I noticed they kept passing us--parties of threes and fours. Totally not right! Because they only have mostly tables of twos anyone with a party of three gets pushed further behind the list. They should call names according to arrival regardless party size. We should have been seated at the table of five. The party seated there before us only waited an hour. 3 hours is not worth eggs, organics, green building and snobby young hippies!

Outerlands isn't about food snobs or trying to compete with high class SF eateries... it's about being real... real food, real people, read recycled wood.... if you're about real, and like to eat real food, then come as you are, sit with common folk, relax and enjoy a place where you don't have to stress about the food being bad for you or trying to be somebody.. it's as real as it gets.. even if you end up having to wait.

This place is tucked in one of little nooks in the outer sunset area, a drive for most of the city, but WELL worth it! Gorgeous environment bringing the warmth of mother nature's natural beauty inside while enjoying organically healthy, delicious food. The owners are lovely people, providing suggestion and friendly pours of wine. Went during lunch hours & gobbled every lil crumb of the best tasting tuna melt ever & turkey, pear, cheese open faced sandwich, both came with fresh sprigs of mixed lettuce..paired wonderfully with the Geil Riesling. Simply delightful! Thanks!
