My boyfriend took me to the Pacific Café for our first date a year ago and it quickly became my favorite place. We ate and talked for hours and we have been going strong ever since. I highly recommend it for first dates, or second or 100ths or even for an anniversary! It will always be our anniversary spot!

I've been fortunate to dine at Pacific Cafe on several trips to SF, typically after an afternoon sail on The Ruby. I live in Vancouver, where the seafood is typically excellent, and spent ten years in New Orleans, with its own selection and flavour, yet my favourite place for seafood is Pacific Cafe. I've recommended it to friends visiting SF for years, even purchased gift certificates for weddings and other events. The food is always cooked perfectly, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere of a local haunt is much better than the tourist traps on the wharf. Whenever you are in SF, if you have only one day or one meal, be sure it is at the Pacific Cafe.

Seafood is always my first choice & Pacific Cafe fills the bill. The regular menu is great, but their daily special board is what we always turn to. Ahi Tuna w/Wasabi, Crab Diablo, Halibut Parmesan, I could go on and on and on! We have been dining there for 30 years & I swear to you, we have never, ever been disappointed! Sometimes the wait is long, but with the free wine & outer Richmond ocean breeze, you chat with happy people & enjoy yourselves. The staff is beyond compare.

I lived just down the street on 34th Avenue when Pacific Cafe opened. From its first day, it was extremely successful and I ate there regularly for many years. The food and service were always exceptional. The free wine was a nice bonus, and made for many a convivial conversation while waiting for a table. I now live in Massachusetts, but I'm so glad to see it is well and thriving. I highly recommend it, for a cozy ambience, wonderful seafood, and over-the-top service. Do not miss it!

My dearest friend in the world took me and my husband and my sister-in-law to dinner on 12/17/06. We all had Crab Diablo, I can honestly say I have never had so much fun playing with my food in my life. The crab was succulent and flavorful, it was such a delight! The service was excellent and the coffee wonderful. You must try the crab bisque soup and the cranberry tart ! It was an experience I will treasure forever. Thank you Michael and thank you Pacific Cafe for a wonderfully gastronomic experience. I am still salivating.......
