Excellent Deep Dish
Got back from Chicago about a few weeks ago and was missing the excellent pizza I had there. Well Patxi's solved that problem. I had one of their signature veg deep dish pizzas and it was great. The crust was nice and crisp without being too dry. The wait was a little long but they did say upfront that baking takes 25min. The place was packed with a laid back atmosphere (sports on tv's) so taking all that into concideration I gues service was good. I will go back.

Burned at Patxi's
After waiting a very long forty minutes for lunch at the half full store on Hayes St in SF, the manager, not the original server, brought us our deep dish pizza, an overcooked burned crust kitchen mistake. Oh we were given the option of waiting more time for another pizza or taking this one for half off, no comp meal or drink, just a take it or leave it apology. We were famished at that point and starvingly accepted it. They didn't even offer any bread to make up for the mostly blackened sides and base crust. When I wrote the owners about this, there was no response.

I'm from NY so...
My expectations are high.. I gave up on good thin crust, but the thick crust is the best I have had better than in Chicago. I get white onion and mushroom.. AMAZING.

Very good pizza
While I didn't try the deep dish, the regular pizza was very good. I got the pesto, spinach and parmesaen pizza which had a little tomato sauce on it which was nice. They messed up our pizza but took a little off the bill which was nice. I highly recommend ordering a salad to start as the pizzas take a little while to bake. I had the greek and it was good.

Best Pizza in Bay Area
This pizza is incredible. The deep dish is great, although you won't be able to eat as much as you think. It's very filling and probably the best pizza in SF.
