Their breakfasts are great. Fresh soda bread, full fry-up, fresh coffee and/or a pint. Great way to get your neighborhood weekend started. No pretenses, no attitude, not trying to be something it's not. It's just a nice pub serving good real-people food.

Disappointing. It was my first trip there and I had hopes of finding good fish and chips in the neighborhood. The fish and chips smelled very fishy, yes I know it's fish, but that kind of fishy equals not fresh fish. They were soggy and not crispy at all. Being thinly sliced pieces of fish you'd think they'd at least be crisp. Also a very small portion of fish. On the waitresses recommendation we tried the onion rings over fried calamari as a starter. The onions rings don't deserve the ringing endorsement they were given. They were so thinly cut they fell apart in the ketchup when we tried to dip them. The service was good and the people very nice but if the food they serve is this bad it means I won't be back. Two fish and chips, an order of onions rings, two beers and a tip for a total of $52 is a crazy price for lunch when it's that bad!

Used to be much better than it is today. Menu hasn't changed, but the bar itself and its patrons have. Maybe it's a product of the ever evolving Mission. But this used to be a great friendly neighborhood spot. Now it's more of a sports bar than anything else. Except a shitty frat-boy type sports bar with lots of high fives and chest pumps. In it's defense, great beer selection and the food is pretty good for bar food. Best chicken wings in the Mission.

Fun, unpretentious atmosphere great food - seriously, try the asian shrimp salad and kabocha squash side lots of beers on tap inexpensive friendly staff pool table in back. Love everything about this place.
