great pizza
go at an off-hour. the wait looks miserable at peak times and pretty unorganized. This place is tiny. the pizza was terrific though, as good as i get in nyc. the crust has a spring to it but is crisp in places, evenly cooked. the sauce has a bite and isn't overly sweet. definitely worth the modest prices. wasn't too blown away by the non-pizza stuff: deep fried cauliflower had a nice spiciness thanks to chili flake but was a tad too soggy and oily. a dish of slow cooked pork was rich and had a nice smoky sauce but the cake of pasta served with it was as bland as grocery store deli mac and cheese. stick to the pizza and it's worth every penny. friendly service too!
