Outstanding!
Everything about this place was over the TOP! The service was great, and the food was spectacular. The atmosphere was pumping, lots of excitement in the air. Unquestionably the best Tapas EVER. The wine was a little pricey by the glass, but the quality and flavor were exceptional. I will visit this outstanding restaurant time and time again.

Not what it once was...
Ramblas was my favorite place to eat in SF for almost 4 years. Whenever friends visited from out-of-town, I brought them there for a great time. I had not been there for about a year until I went back on the 4th of July this year. I was completely disappointed. While the food is still pretty good, some of my favorite menu items have been taken off. They have also become so amazingly stingy with their portion sizes. While everything tasted pretty good, it seemed like there was a ration order the night we went.

Tried it once, but not going back
I had heard of this place which was rated well in Zagat, but I just didn't think the ratings had any merit. The food was just ok, not good, definitely not great. The paella is good, but the mushrooms, the potatoes, and the shrimps were completely unremarkable. The sangria tasted good, but they were being stingy on the ice even after repeated requests, we got warm sangria. The service was good, the atmosphere was decent, but the food is not going to lure me back.
