A bit pricey but good atmosphere
No stellar SF food here a bit expensive for the quality good atmosphere (a real neighborhood hangout which is why I go there) and the main bartender lady with glasses is very good and very nice.

The newest place to waste your paycheck
The Rex Cafe is just around the corner from my sister's place. I could always count on a great meal, good atmosphere and change back when I came for a visit. I went to Rex at least once, every visit. My sister can't cook (just like every 30 something single woman in the city). It's rare and odd to say, but the meatloaf at the Rex was a "welcome home" every visit. Until the new remodel. This place now sucks. I ordered the Scollop, from a shingle, and it tasted like it should have been on the shingle. I guess i didn't read close enough because it was really only 1 scollop... for $18.00. I know I come from hicksville Maine, but twenty bucks gets 5lbs. of right of the boat fresh, with a complimentary chick lobster back home.
