Really disappointing experience. Unfriendly staff , except for the girl outside. But the food was even worse. Everything on the plate was overcooked, and too much sauce to cover up the tough chicken. There was nothing Italian about it. I guess we are spoilt in Italy.

On vacation here in San Fran and have been to a few establishments in North beach and by far Mona Lisa is número uno. Maurizio the owner was very accommodating and the staff was on the ball. Food was true Italian and generous portions. Maurizio, thank you for a great nite Bene!,,, Just amazing!

This is my favorite Italian restaurant in North Beach. I find the service to be great and I treated well everytime I'm there. The food and wine selection is perfect.

You can't beat the Mona Lisa for great Italian food, atmosphere and service! The pasta and pizza are to die for. Every pasta dish is cooked to perfection! I have two teen boys and this is thier favorite place to eat pizza by far! The owner is usually always there to great you at the door and works hard to make every person feel welcomed and appreciated for their business! You can't get that type of service anymore!! This place won't disappoint!! We have been going for over 10 years now and have never left unhappy!!

I loved everything about this place. The menu is huge and includes a great selection of vegetarian options, pages of non-vegetarian options as well as a lengthy risotto selection. It is a cute little place. Our waiter Mark was very good. Most importantly, the food was awesome.

Just came back from the restaurant and couldn't just let it's greatness go untold! I went with three others and we each got different plates-each of which was fantastic!! a huge selection of delicious pastas and a lovely atmosphere with very attentive waiters (even in the busiest of times)-the perfect combination!

We headed down to Columbus Avenue to check out City Lights and to just poke around. We stopped at Mona Lisa on a whim. It was a gorgeous day, so we ate outside. Lois had the four cheese ravioli and I had the lasagna. Both were superb! We were given a complimantary order of bruschetta while we waited for our entrees. My iced tea glass was kept filled and Lois had several glasses of different wines on the servers recommendation. Our server was attentive but unobtrusive. We chatted with the couple at the next table and all four of us waved and called out "ciao, touristas" at the tour vehicles as they labored by. We finally realized we had spent three hours on lunch. It was easily the most enjoyable and relaxing afternoon we spent in San Francisco. We saw many sights and had some great meals in San Francisco, but our afternoon at Mona Lisa is our favorite memory.
