Scala's Bistro

We Booked a reservation for five people, a week before our dinner. We were extremely disappointed to be placed at a very small table that would only fit 4 max. It was as if they forgot our reservation and just added an end seat to the table. This seat was more than half way in the aisle where servers walked. Many times these servers even bumped into the seat. There is no way 6 could ever sit there... the manager did not care one bit, no apologies at all basically saying "thats just too bad" with our situation. Aside from their service, the food is pretty good not the best and the restaurant is a bit noisy. Prices are too high and they add 20% gratuity on tables with 5 or more.

On the advice of our hotel concierge, we celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary at Scala's during our recent vacation in San Francisco. Wonderful experience! Had a reservation and were seated immediately upon entering. Staff congratulated us on our anniversary. Service was professional, personal and attentive. Food was superb. Wine was perfect. We'll certainly be back whenever we're in San Francisco.

We really enjoyed the salmon & pizza, as well as the classy service.

We love Scala's Bistro. The food is quite good and the atmosphere is classy. Very impressive.

Scala's has a great atmosphere and a nice arrangement, but the food was marginal. The oysters were tiny and the bruschetta was only a little better.

When we're in the City, we always have at least one meal here. Great location, food,service, and dining experience.
