Ich liebe schnitzel!
Damn fine German fare here. Service is a bit slow - there's often only one server on the floor, and s/he's also the lone bartender. Food is SO good: schnitzel (obviously) is key here, and the pickled cabbage on the side is also great. Spaetzle is all right, as are the potatoes. They also have many fine beers - a friend of mine recently had the Schlenkerla smoken beer, which was, um, very interesting. I prefer the boot-shaped liter steins of Franziskaner weissbier. One point to note is the neighborhood: parking is usually fine, but there's almost always some sketchy character hanging around. One night I saw the owner sweep broken glass into the doorway, presumably to dissuade anyone from sleeping out front. I like to call this place "Der Krackenhaus" in honor of the time I watched a crack deal happen in the aforementioned doorway. But all sketchiness aside, the food is amazing and the decor (think antler chandeliers) will convince you that you are in a German beer hall.
