Szechuan Taste Restaurant

I went here after work to have a meal. I don't speak Chinese and was treated terribly by the lady behind the counter. I was asked how I wanted my meal prepared. I told them I wanted my lobster deep fried. They refused my request. I asked for Szechuan sauce on the side. They refused my request... I asked for a half order of rice and a half order of noodles. They refused my request... the lady behind the counter told me that was "weird". I ordered my food and was asked to pay first. What kind of restaurant is this? I finally asked for a wedge of lemon to be served with my lobster. You guessed it, my request was refused! I requested my money back because I had enough refusals. At this point the lady behind the counter said I could have some lemon... However, at this point I had lost my appetite. I simply wanted my money back. Needless to say I dined elsewhere

Go there for cheap food. Not really the best for family thing because the place is a bit on the sticky side. The tables are not not clean enough to eat off of, but just clean enough to put a plate on. The chairs are sticky. Believe me, the previous owner was worse at keeping the place clean. Now, it is good enough for me. I usually choose takeout because it is more comfy. They have a small menu. The selection is small because everything is basically the same. Noodle, rice, deep fried, beef, chicken. The same old, but they just make it really tasty. Get the salty spicy fried pork ribs. Good deal. The rice and Chow fun is good too. Warning about the deep fried stuff. If they don't change the oil, the food will be very oily.

We went on Mothers Day, walking down Taraval, looking for a Chinese restaurant with only Chinese people in it, with Chinese people waiting for a table. We found it. We found out why. The foood is incredible, it's Hakka Cuisine, which I think means seafood. Notwithstanding we also ordered duck, which was the best I've had in SF. The crab was excellent. The steamed fish had a floury consistency, which was off-putting. There was only one waiter who spoke any English. We'll go back continuously!
