This place is consistent and delicious. There are so many creepy Thai restaurants in SF and this one uses top quality ingredients and the food is always fresh. I always get take out, so can't say about dining in, but I definitely recommend it. Best in the Castro!

Whenever I write a review I account for value. If a meal is $40+ a plate, the dining experience should knock my socks off. If the meal is $5, welllll... I'll let some things slide. I mention this because Thai House Express' dishes are pretty inexpensive and you get a quality meal for your money. The last time I visited, we had a party of 4. We ordered 4 entrees and 2 appetizers (no drinks) and it broke down to less than $15 per person including tip. The food was very tasty & the service was attentive and cordial. The menu offers over 100 food selections, the atmosphere is modern, clean and a bit austere. This is a solid restaurant that serves good food at very affordable prices.

I used to love this place. But something must have happened. We ordered take-out, and everything was way below expectations. Chicken coconut soup was very thin and the chicken dry. The five-spice duck was bland and the only thing that saved it from being as dry as the soup chicken was a tremendous amount of fat. The stuffing of their signature appetizer - chicken & veggie pouch - also dry (I was looking for some dipping sauce, but in vain). One could think that their kitchen struck by a famine... But no, there was plenty of gravy in Rad Na - so much, as a matter of fact, that noodles were difficult to fish out. Those that we WERE able to find, were overcooked and mushy... Kinda sad. The staff's attitude has become pretty special too. Perhaps they should start wearing tiaras in order to avoid confusion about who reigns in the Thai House Express...

I had not gone to this place for a long time, and I was craving for Steam chicken with garlic rice. Their steam chicken was so dry that it look old. The rice they used is from the bottom pot and was so dry. Never will I go back to this place again.. The waiter could not even smile...

The Thai Dishes here are delicious! Curry and noodle entrees are highly enhanced with exotic spices so their flavors are rich and savory. All entrees are yummy and there are various terrific dishes for selections. Restaurant staff members are unfortunately cold and self-absorb. They are efficient but barely smile and they only do so when they bring the check to the table. Many Thai restaurants I have patronized over the years have much warmer atmosphere because they are often run by families. Thai House Express, however, seemed to be staffed with vacant stares and lots of attitudes. Come for the excellent food but don't expect the staff to be warm and friendly.

If you have ever been to Thailand and you are crazy for authentic Thai food - you will love this place! This is the best and authentic food I had outside of Thailand (and I tried endless number of places). When you enter the door... it really smells like a little vacation. The people there are very friendly, you will get an outstanding service. They have a huge menu and the prices are very affordable. Make sure to order Thai style - if you can take the heat
