Sangiovese/Canaiolo/Colorino, Lungarotti Rubesco ’08 Rosso Di Torgiano DOC, Umbria a red with balanced body and a fine ruby color. its aromas are typically spicy and consist of pepper and sweet tobacco; the background notes hint at jam and violet. a pleasant drinkability with good concentration, mature and harmonious tannins with a long-lasting fruity finish   10.00
Barbera/Syrah, Prunotto ’09 Basso Monferrato, Piemonte this wine is produced with 60% barbera and 40% syrah grapes, originating in calliano which is 300 meters above sea level. the wine is aged partly in barrels, partly in barriques for 10 months; then aged for another 6 months in the bottle. mompertone has a ruby red color with violet reflections and has a bouquet rich in fruit, especially plum and cherry, with aromas of spices and coffee. on the palate the wine is very smooth, and rich in soft, elegant, and persistent tannins.   10.00

Montepulciano, Umani Ronchi Rosso Conero San Lorenzo ‘10 Marche 100% montepulciano from the single-vineyard "san lorenzo." aged for 12 months: 50% in large oak, 50% in 3 to 4 year-old barriques. rich and velvety, with hints of cherries and raspberries   11.50
Pinot Noir, Macrostie ’11 North Sonoma Coast the grapes for this pinot noir came from four prime vineyards in the cool sonoma coast ava, including alta vista, rodger’s creek, and champlin creek. the rugged, windy, and remote wildcat mountain vineyard, high up in the hills overlooking san pablo bay, also plays a very significant role in the blend and can be seen in the dark color, full body, and structured complexity of the wine. dark ruby in color, this pinot is juicy and ripe, yet soft and elegant. the nose is homemade cherry pie, with hints of toasted spice, and it’s very lush and rich in the mouth, with ripe black cherry and dutch cocoa flavors. the finish is easy and long   12.50

Zinfandel/Petite Sirah/Barbera, Unti Vineyards ’10 Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma this zinfandel comes primarily from the primitivo-clone vineyard, planted next to the winery. unti favors the primitivo-clone because it tends to produce berries that are smaller and with thicker skins, versus typical zinfandel selections. this leads to a richer wine with more tannin, usually found in old vine zin. our 2010 has just about everything you would want in a dry creek zinfandel: dark color, big berry fruit, cool spice, decent structure and a balanced finish. it is similar to the 2007 only with better balance   13.00
