Unimpressed
The coffee was good, the waffles were not. The menu lacked variety. Left feeling hungry.

Gem found on the Fillmore corridor
Quiet (most of the time), comfy cafe with a modest but varied menu. It's interior is light and clean. Charming salt and pepper pots on every table, each in a distinctive and whimsical style. Cafe is small enough to give an intimate ambience although when some members of the public talk too loudly, which is apt to happen on occasion, the intimacy of the spacing then becomes constrictive. The older waitress (one of the owners?) is a little unfriendly at times but I think this is untentional. She seems to gravitate towards her 'regulars' with more friendliness than her newest customers so beware that her demeanor might seem a little 'frosty'. This might be a culture difference as she is by no means rude. Other than than I cannot fault this cafe or the food they serve. Prices are reasonable, especially for the Fillmore corridor, and its a nice place to go for a little respite from window shopping (or buying) to collect one's breath, have a nice hot drink, served in enormous cups, and some good food prepared with loving care. Take time out to visit, enjoy the calm atmosphere and food and people watch as the world hurries on by.
